Today, we are gathered here on a very important and historic occasion — 25th December, the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the great leader, visionary, and founder of Pakistan. This day is not only meant to remember his birth, but also to reflect upon his ideals, his sacrifices, and his unmatched contribution to the creation of Pakistan.
Dear fellows!
Quaid-e-Azam was born on 25th December 1876 in Karachi. From his early childhood, he displayed qualities of honesty, discipline, and determination. He received his education in Karachi, Bombay, and later in England, where he became one of the youngest and most successful lawyers of his time. However, his true greatness lies not in his legal career but in his decision to dedicate his life to the cause of the Muslims of the subcontinent.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Muslims of India were facing political, social, and economic difficulties. Their rights were ignored, and their future seemed uncertain. At this critical time, Quaid-e-Azam emerged as a fearless leader. Through constitutional struggle, logical arguments, and peaceful means, he fought for the rights of Muslims and became their true representative.
Worthy guests!
Quaid-e-Azam joined the All-India Muslim League and transformed it into a powerful platform for Muslim unity. He strongly believed that Muslims were a separate nation with their own culture, religion, traditions, and values. His firm belief in the Two-Nation Theory laid the foundation for the demand for a separate homeland.
Despite strong opposition, political pressure, and personal suffering, Quaid-e-Azam remained steadfast. His leadership during the Pakistan Movement was exemplary. Finally, after years of tireless struggle, the dream of millions came true with the creation of Pakistan on 14th August 1947. This achievement was not accidental; it was the result of his vision, perseverance, and sacrifice.
Quaid-e-Azam gave us a clear guiding principle in the form of Unity, Faith, and Discipline. Unity teaches us to stand together as one nation. Faith gives us confidence in Allah and belief in ourselves. Discipline helps us remain organized, punctual, and responsible. If we truly follow these principles, no power in the world can stop Pakistan from progressing.
He envisioned Pakistan as a democratic and welfare state where justice, equality, and the rule of law would prevail. He believed in religious tolerance and equal rights for all citizens. His historic address of 11th August 1947 clearly shows that he wanted a country where people of all religions could live freely and peacefully.
Even during his last days, Quaid-e-Azam continued to work for Pakistan despite severe illness. His dedication and sense of duty are a lesson for all of us. His famous words,
“With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve,” still inspire generations.
